Skilled Van/Car Mechanic
Hours: Monday to Friday + Overtime (Full Time)
Salary: £32,000.00 per year + Performance Bonus
Additional: NEST Pension Scheme, Sick Pay
Holiday: 25 days per year, plus statutory holidays
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our Garage team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for van and automotive repair. As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for, maintaining, and repairing various vans and vehicles to ensure they operate efficiently and safely. Your expertise will contribute to delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Role and Responsibilities
Our technicians are responsible for the servicing, repair and diagnostics of all vehicles in the workshop, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standard first time.
The main responsibilities would include mechanical repairs, servicing, including suspension, steering, brakes, wheel bearings, driveshafts, clutches, exhausts etc.
You will have a full understanding of Customer Satisfaction and its impact on the business.
You will be trained and able to operate additional systems, such as video reporting
You also will be able to complete all service paperwork to manufacturer and brand standards.
Working closely with other members of the workshop team to constantly learn and share knowledge.
About you
We consider candidates from all backgrounds who have experience working in the Automotive sector as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician, Motor Mechanic, Motor Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, HGV Fitter, MOT Tester to join Jade Garage Services
Whether you work at an independent garage, fast fit centre, main dealer, we would be interested in talking to you.
As a minimum you will hold or working towards completion of your NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
Full UK Driving licence.

Experience / Qualifications:
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience NVQ Level in vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Familiarity with using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service skills, ensuring client satisfaction at all times.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting as part of the role.
- Previous experience in a similar position is advantageous but not essential.
Licence/Certification:
- Full UK Driving Licence (required)
